From Lincoln’s History of Hingham:45
    Anderw was for many years the captain of the sloop Susanna of Hingham. Late in life he followed the occupation of “farmer”. He resided on North Street near Hobart’s Bridge. In the will of 26 Apr 1773, proved 28 may 1773, he bequeathed to wife Susanna “the use and improvement of my whole estate, both real and personal, during her natural life.” “To my 3 daughters, viz.: Susanna Marsh, Jane Kingman, and Hannah Loring the sum of £10 each, in money, and so much of my household stuff as shall be left at the decease of my wife.” “To my 3 sons, Samuel, James, and John, all the remainder of my estate of any sort or kind whatever, to be equally divided between them at the death of my wife, they paying to my duaghters £10, each as previously mentioned.” Appoints son “Samuel, and my friend Benjamin Lincoln, Esqr., executors.” Inventory£491 7s. 11d.; appriased 4 Jun 1773, and including among the items, house, barn, and 5 acres of land at home; house and land of Hobart’s, and shop below the way; 5 1/2 acres of land at Bear Swampl 15 acres to Pool’s meado; 3 acres swamp, Frearing’s; land at Abington; part of a sloop; 4 cows, 2 two-year-olds, 1 yearling, 2 calves, etc.
    Andrew died age 55.
