    “William Barrett bought the house and land of William French in Cambridge, near the College, 10 June, 1656; was selectman in 1671 and 1681; and served as lieutenant in Philip's war. He married 1st, 19 Aug, 1656, Sarah Champney (daughter of Elder Richard), who died 21 Aug, 1661; 2nd, 19 May, 1662, Mary Barnard (daughter of John and Phoebe of Watertown), who died 28 March, 1673; 3rd, 8 Oct, 1673, Mary Sparhawk (daughter of Nathaniel and Patience), who died the same month; and 4th, Margaret Bartlett, who survived him.
    “William died 19 March, 1689,"aged about 60". His estate (Probate Records, 1691) was divided between his widow Margaret and his children. John (who had a double portion as the eldest), William, Edward, Samuel, Thomas, Margaret (to whom was given a "negro maid servant") and Lydia, the youngest daughter. Bartholomew unites with the other heirs in a deed in 1702. There were three Barretts who came to America about the same time. Thomas Barrett of Braintree, William and Humphrey. It is not known if they were brothers.”

Born on 26 May 1653 in Dedham, MA.190 Jonathan, the Son of William & Margarett Avery, was borne the 26 of the 3 mo. 1653. Jonathan died in Dedham, MA, on 16 Sep 1694; he was 41.

Sybil second married Rev. Michael Wigglesworth, son of Edward Wigglesworth (ca 1603-1 Oct 1653) & Hester Middlebrook (-aft 10 Sep 1655). Born on 18 Oct 1631 in Wrawby, Lincolnshire.606 Michael was baptized in Wrawby, Lincolnshire, on 21 Oct 1631.606 Michael died in Malden, MA, on 10 Jun 1705; he was 73.606 Buried in Bell Rock Cemetery, Malden.606

Ca 1693 Samuel married Sarah Whiting. Born ca 1667 in Cambridge, MA. Sarah was baptized in Cambridge, MA, on 5 Sep 1667. Sarah died on 8 Dec 1752.

On 2 Jan 1693 Nathaniel married Abigail Gates (9457) , daughter of Simon Gates (ca 1646-26 Aug 1692) & Margaret Barstow (3184) (ca 1649-13 Apr 1707), in Braintree, MA. Born on 14 Aug 1671 in Cambridge, MA. Abigail died in Brighton, MA, on 27 Jul 1747; she was 75.
