    He left a considerable estate in the island of Jamaica to his son Gideon, also 15,000 Spanish mill dollars.
On 26 Mar 1696 when Thomas was 21, he married Martha Freeborn, daughter of Gideon Freeborn (1 Apr 1635-28 Feb 1720) & Sarah Brownell (ca 1641-6 Sep 1676), in Portsmouth, RI.322 Thomas Cornell, son of Thomas, and Martha Freeborn, daughter of Gideon, were married 26 Mar 1696. Born on 8 Aug 1671 in Portsmouth, RI. Martha died on 15 Nov 1748; she was 77.
