John, of Seymour, CT. He was appointed ensign of the 13th Co., 2nd Reg., in May 1760; Lieutenant in May 1764; and Captain Oct 1767. He served as deputy for Derby in the Connecticut Assembly from May 1771 through Apr 1775. He was justice of the peace in 1774.305
