On 19 May 1742 when Jerusha was 17, she married Nehemiah Doane (39090) , son of Ephraim Doane (19699) (1 Apr 1696-ca 1751) & Mary Atkins (-23 Dec 1751), in Middletown, CT.197 Born on 13 Oct 1720 in Truro, MA.437 Nehemiah the son of Ephraim and Mary Doane was born at Cape Codd October ye 13th 1719. Nehemiah died in Middletown, CT, on 26 May 1792; he was 71.254

Nehemiah went with his father’s family from Cape Cod to Connecticut in 1739. He and his wife were members of the First Congregational church at Middletown where their children were baptized.254
