From the Lapham Family Register, pages 15–16:195
    Charles followed the seas and was wrecked on the coast of Arabia, where he, with the crew, was captured by the natives and after suffering terrible hardships he died. Some of the crew survived and returned to their homes. The narrative of their capture and sufferings was published in a small volume many years ago.
