45789. Nehemiah Merritt. Born ca 1742. Nehemiah was baptized in First Parish Church of Scituate, on 3 Nov 1751.52 Nehemiah died in Scituate, MA on 27 May 1813.52 Buried in Fairview Cemetery, Scituate Center.

Nehemiah died age 71 according to his gravestone. If that’s correct then he was born about 1742/3 and his mother was Jonathan’s first wife Sarah Wade. He wasn’t baptized until 1751, however, and if he was younger than 71 at death, then his mother could have been Jonathan’s second wife, Ruth Stetson.
On 5 Oct 1794 Nehemiah married Sarah Mott, daughter of Atwood Mott (18 Sep 1736-) & Hannah Hood, in First Parish Church of Scituate.52 Born on 16 Nov 1758 in Scituate, MA.52 At the age of 11, Sarah was baptized in First Parish Church of Scituate, on 4 Feb 1770. Sarah died in Scituate, MA, on 15 May 1833; she was 74. Buried in Fairview Cemetery, Scituate Center.

Sarah first married Nathaniel Litchfield, second Nehemiah Merritt.

Sarah Merritt, widow of Nehemiah Merritt, daughter of Atwood Mod, died 15 May 1833, age 74 (according to town records) or 75 (according to her gravestone).52
