On 27 Jan 1791 when Joseph was 72, he married Mary Pettingell (46435) , daughter of Richard Pettingell (27836) (29 Sep 1694-ca 1770) & Elizabeth Thompson (2 Nov 1695-21 Sep 1769), in Boscawen, Merrimack County, New Hampshire. Born on 6 Sep 1720 in Newbury, MA. Mary died in Boscawen, Merrimack County, New Hampshire, on 14 Dec 1818; she was 98.
