John went to Lake George in the French War in 1757. He was on the Fort william Henry Alarm in Aug 1757. He was a sergeant in capt. Ebenezer down’s Company. He enlisted 12 Jan 1776 as a private in company under command of Lieut. John Carter in the 9th Reg., col. John Mead Commanding, discharged 25 Jan 1776. He continued other other command through 1778.3
