    Knight Sprague was one of the soldiers at Fort William Henry in 1757 when so many English and Americans were massacred by the savages. Knight, however, escaped, after being partially stripped of his clothing, and hte next year served under Colonel Bradstreet at the taking of Fort Frontenac on Lake Ontairo. Later in life he removed to Liecester, Mass., and his name is mentioned in its military history.
