From Bartlett’s article “Hugh Jones of Salem”:387
“Jonathan^3 Jones, born in Woburn, Jan. 20, 1718-19, was taken to Dracut by his parents in 1733; and was living there as late as Oct. 20, 1788, when he and his wife Mary conveyed to his son Zebadiah the larger part of his homestead. (Middlesex Co. Deeds, vol. cxcvi, fol. 332.) No record of his death or probate of his estate has been found, but as the above deed was not recorded until Nov. 14, 1811, it is likely his death occurred about that time.”387
