Bede first married Samuel Andrews (41127) , son of Lieut. Timothy Andrews (ca 1716-25 Jul 1793) & Anna Smith (21389) (17 May 1719-7 Dec 1798). Born in Nov 1758 in East Haven, CT.6 Samuel was baptized in East Haven, CT, on 15 Jan 1759.55 They were divorced.

Ca 1784 Bede second married Capt. Jonathan Dayton (38223) , son of Isaac Dayton (ca 1684-30 Dec 1756) & Elizabeth Todd (18831) (12 Feb 1690/1-30 Mar 1752). Born 31 Jan 1726/7 in New Haven, CT.56 Jonathan died in North Haven, CT on 31 Jul 1804.55 Buried in Old Graveyard, North Haven.

Jonathan was a Militia Captain whose Company turned out when New Haven was attacked in Jul 1779 by the Briotish. His three older sons served in his Company. His wife was sick at the time and bed was prepared for her in a cart by son Bezaleel. His daughter, Mary , baked bags of biscuits for his Company. Later, Jonathan was Justice of the Peace and served on many North Haven town committees.488 Jonathan was commissioned Capt. of the 9th Co., 2nd Regt., May 1779. He was Lieut. of the 9th Co., 2nd Regt., Alarm List, 1777; his company, of which he was then Capt., responded to the New Haven Alarm, July 1779.6
