Samuel Jacques of Wilmington, yeoman, conveyed to Joseph Coggin of Wilmington, blacksmith, 10 Jul 1762, recorded 25 Apr 1780 (Deeds 81:98). William thompson of Wilmington, housewright, conveyed to Joseph Coggin Jr of Wilmington, blacksmith, 13 Apr 1763, recorded 22 Feb 1776 (Deeds 76:595). Samuel Coggin conveyed to Joseph Coggin, both of Wilmington, 21 Apr 1772, recorded 25 Apr 1780. Joseph Coging Jr of Wilmington, blacksmith, and wife Ruth, conveyed to Samuel Ridgeway, gent., 20 Feb 1776, recorded 30 Nov 1776. Joseph removed to Amherst, NH, in 1776 or 1778, and settled there on Potato Street (see History of the Town of Mount Vernon, N.H., pp. 49-51 for later descendants). He was a Revolutionary soldier at Amherst in 1790.32
