    Joseph was a master mariner. He moved from Campobello to Boston in 1810 and gave up his seafaring life and for several years was employed at the Essex Street Glass Works. He afterwards moved to Sandwich where he was employed in the glass works for 22 years.
Joseph married Hannah S. Lilly. Born ca 1773. Hannah S. died in Sandwich, MA on 29 Mar 1850.195
