Barnabas went to sea in July 1800 and on May 29, 1803, was impressed by a British Frigate. He remained on board three and one-half months, when he escaped from this service to the island of Barbadoes, in the West Indies. He died at sea May 18, 1812, after sailing from the West Indies, three days from a port calle St. Marks, in Cape Francis, or Hayti.
