“Nathaniel Cushing Nash, a resident member of the New England Historic Genealogical Society since 1891 and its Treasurer for the three years 1904-1906, died at his home in Cambridge, Mass., after a long illness, 10 October 1915, at the age of fifty-three years. He was born in Boston, Mass., 4 April 1862, the son of Nathaniel Cushing and Lucy Turner (Briggs) Nash.”
“When Nathaniel Cushing Nash was about ten days old, his mother died and a few years later his father removed from Boston to Arlington, Mass., where the son lived until after the death of his father in 1880. He attended first David Mack’s private school at Belmont, Mass., and later the school of George Washington Copp Novle in Boston, where he was prepared for Harvard.”
On 26 Jun 1884 when Nathaniel Cushing was 22, he married Nellie Munro Fessenden, daughter of Nehemiah Munroe Fessenden (20 Jan 1821-7 Apr 1867) & Mary Elizabeth Fiske (2 Jan 1824-15 May 1890), in Cambridge, MA.
