KOOPMAN - Gerrit Koopman, aged 92, of Hudsonville, went peacefully to be with his Lord on April 24, 2004. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the First Christian Reformed Church in Hudsonville with Rev. Steven R. Sytsma officiating. Interment Georgetown Cemetery. Friends may meet with the family at the VanderLaan Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Gerrit's honor to the Laurels of Hudsonville Activities Program. KOOPMAN - Wilma (Westra) Koopman, aged 92, of Hudsonville. Wilma was born on June 29, 1912. She was a graduate of Grand Rapids Christian High School. Wilma went peacefully to be with her Lord after 92 years of faithful service on December 12, 2004. Her husband, Gerrit, preceded her in death on April 24, 2004 after 67 years of marriage. Wilma will be lovingly remembered by her children, E. Joyce and John Overweg, Tom and Joyce Koopman all of Hudsonville, Jackie and John Groote of Zeeland, Jim Koopman of Utah; 13 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren, who were all the sunshine of her life. Wilma and Gerrit were also the parents to 39 foster children. They will always remember her as a fine Christian example. She is also survived by her brother, Johan Westra; sisters-in-law, Esther Westra and Rose Westra; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elsie (Hekman) and Jacob Westra; her sister, Beulah Dragt; her brothers, Dr. Jack Westra, Leonard Westra, Peter Westra and Ralph Westra. She was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church in Hudsonville, where she faithfully served as a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was also a member and past president of the Mission Society. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 AM at the VanderLaan Funeral Home with Rev. Steven R. Sytsma and Rev. Robert Holwerda officiating. Interment Georgetown Cemetery. Friends may meet with the family at the funeral home Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.     Rena Kalman, 85, of Hudsonville, died Thursday, June 10, 1999. She was a member of the Zutphen Christian Reformed Church.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Tim, in 1991 and her son, George, in 1998.
    Surviving are her daughter, Dorothy and Alvin Russcher of Holland; daughter-in-law, Mrs. George (Barbara) Kalman of Hudsonville; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Gerrit and Wilma Koopman of Hudsonville; sister, Mrs. Steve (Nellie) Roelofs of Hudsonville; and brother-in-law, Russell and May Potter of Charlotte.
    Funeral services are 1 p.m. Monday at Zutphen Christian Reformed Church, with the Rev. Ronald Noorman officiating. Burial will be in Zutphen Cemetery. Visiting is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, at the Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State St.
    Memorials may be made to Hospice of Holland.
