The 1912 Atlas of Ottawa County shows 40 acres for Tony Steen in Georgetown Township. (W. Steen and Claus Steen are also landowners in the township, but in different parts of it.) Tony’s 40 acres are in section 21 on the northeast corner of Roswood Drive and 28th Avenue, across 28th avenue from the Rosewood Reformed Church. It’s all streets and houses now between Rolling Hills Drive and 38th Avenue.

STEEN -- Tony Steen, aged 60, passed away at his home in Blendon Township late Tuesday evening. Besides the widow, Effie, he is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Roy Mekkes, Mrs. John Crawford, Mrs. Peter Meeuwsen, Mrs. Rene Rosema, Mrs. John Hulbert. Mr. Steen will repose at the Wolbrink funeral home in Allendale until Saturday morning, when he will be taken to the residence, where services will be held at 1:30 and at 2 o’clock at Bauer Christian Reformed church. Interment in Georgetown cemetery.
On 11 Oct 1905 when Anthony was 25, he married Effie DeYoung, daughter of Jan de Jonge (10 Dec 1851-) & Maria Engel (23 Aug 1851-), in Hudsonville, Ottawa County, Michigan. Born on 12 Oct 1879 in Westeremden (Loppersum), Groningen.538 Effie died in Bauer, Michigan, on 2 Dec 1952; she was 73. Buried in Georgetown Township Cemetery.
