To Dana Banning Apr. 20
The First Baptist church in Ada was the scene of the wedding of Miss Annabelle Snare, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R.D. Snare, Ada, and Dana E. Banning, son of Mr. and Mrs. N.F. Banning, of Dunkirk Sunday evening, Apr. 20, at 8:30 ‘o’clock.
    The Rev. Francis Snare, brother of the bride, officiated at the double ring ceremony, assisted by the Rev. Clyde Weigle. Appropriate musical selections were played by Mrs. Charles Cross of Dunkirk preceding the service, and Eugene Snare, brother of the bride, sang “Because,” “I Love You Truly” and “Have Thine Own Way Lord.”
    Given in marriage by her father the bride wore a gown of white satin, fashioned with fitted bodice, sweetheart neckline and full net skirt. Her fingertip veil was arranged in crown effect and she carried a Testament of inlaid mother-of-pearl topped with pink roses. The Testament was brought from Jerusalem by the bridegroom. For ornament the bride wore a cameo necklace, a gift from the bridegroom.
    Attending the bride as maid of honor was her sister, Miss Virginia Snare who wore a frock of yellow rayon brocade designed with fitted bodice and full skirt. Her flowers were a corsage of pink carnations and sweet peas.
    Bridesmaids were Miss Miriam Snare, another sister of the bride, and Mrs. Paul Cramer, sister of the bridegroom. Their frocks were fashioned with fitted satin bodices and full net skirts, the bride’s sister wearing blue and Mrs. Cramer pink. They wore corsages of pink carnations and baby breath.
    Paul Cramer, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, acted as best man for Mr. Banning and ushers were Richard Cook and Donald Cook cousins of the bridegroom.
    A reception for the immediate families and close friends was held at the home of the bride’s parents following the ceremony.
    For her daughter’s wedding Mrs. Snare selected a black crape dress with white trim. Mrs. Banning, mother of the bridegroom, was attired in a blue suit. both wore corsages of white carnations.
    When the couple left for their wedding trip the bide wore a coral suit with blue accessories.
        Mr. and Mrs. Banning will reside in the Young Hotel-bldg. Ada.

Annabelle Mae Banning was born 16 May 1918 in Richland County, Ohio. She died 3 September 1996 at 1:56 a.m. in Grady Memorial Hospital in Deleware, Deleware County, Ohio. She was age 78 and an inpatient at her death. Annabelle was a widow, had graduated from high school, and worked as an editor or reporter in the newspaper and publishing industry. Social Security Number 275-16-0475.
On 20 Apr 1946 when Anna Belle was 27, she married Dana E. Banning in Ada, Ohio. Born on 14 Aug 1918. Dana E. died in Apr 1986.

Rev. Frank L. Snare
 The Rev. Frank L. Snare, 88, of Eaton, Ohio, joined his wife, Arlene, to be with the Lord, Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at The Greenbriar Nursing Center in Eaton.
 Born May 3, 1920, in Loudonville, Ohio, he was the son of Roland D. and Carey C. (Harding) Snare. Frank graduated in 1937 from Ada High School in Ada, Ohio, and from Heidelberg College in Tiffin, Ohio, with a bachelor's degree in divinity. He retired from Trinity Baptist Church in Dayton, Ohio, after many years as a minister in various parts of Ohio. Frank was a writer for The Register-Herald for many years with his column "Frankly Outdoors." He was a member of the American & Ohio Outdoor Writers Association. Frank Loved the Lord, fishing and writing.
 He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 62 years, Arlene M. (Steffen) Snare, in 2005; daughter, Margaret Ann Snare, in 1953; son, Francis Snare, in 1990; sister, Annabelle Banning; brother, Ernest Snare; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Snare.
 He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Kay A. and Steven Tarbutton of Gahanna, Ohio; sons and daughters-in-law: David L. and Gladys Snare of Jacksonville, Fla., and Charles E. and Karen Snare of Chadron, Neb.; five grandchildren, Debra J. Samayou and Michael D. Snare, both of Jacksonville, Fla., Kyle S. Tarbutton, Brad A. Tarbutton and Anna M. Tarbutton, all of Gahanna, Ohio; great-grandson, Jayden Samayou of Jacksonville, Fla.; brother, Eugene Snare of Bluffton, Ohio; sisters and brothers-in-law, Virginia and Clete Long of Fostoria, Ohio, and Miriam and Floyd Snider of Lima, Ohio; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
 Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Monday, March 16, at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 E. Main St., Eaton, with the Rev. Mike Pratt officiating. Interment was in Preble Memory Gardens, West Alexandria. The family received friends on Sunday, March 15, from 3-6 p.m., and on Monday, March 16, from noon-1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Francis was my Big Brother, five years older than me!! We grew up having good times, (it being during the great depression) but survived because of the faith of our parents! I will miss him, along with my two sisters who also survive, will!! We are very thankful for the lives he has touched in times past as he ministered in the local churches!! The Lord Bless each of you!!

Obituary, Cledith P. 'Clete' Long, Saturday, March 30, 2013 The Courier, Findley, Ohio,
FOSTORIA -- Funeral services for Cledith P. "Clete" Long, 83, of Fostoria, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, the Rev. Cal Cook officiating. Burial will be in Knollcrest Cemetery, near Arcadia, where Military Honors will be conducted by the United Veterans of Fostoria.
 Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
 Mr. Long died on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the Independence House, Fostoria.
 He was born on May 30, 1929 to Paul and Corda (Clum) Long in Ada. On Sept. 24, 1950, he married H. Virginia Snare in Ada.
 Surviving are his wife, Virginia Long, of Fostoria; daughter, Rebecca "Beck" (Jay) Brough, of Fostoria; son, Warren (Karen) Long, of Findlay; three brothers, Russell Long, of Lima; Charles "Bud" (Cleola) Long, of Lafayette; and Nolan Gene (Dorothy) Long, of Bluffton; sister-in-law, Phyllis Long, of Toledo; grandchildren, Kristin, Matthew Shaw, Andy (Niki) Brough, Josh, Michaela and Erin Long; and great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Malachi Brough.
 Mr. Long was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Donald Long.
 He retired in 1986 from Columbia Gas Co. with over 35 years of service and is a graduate of Lafayette Jackson School. He was a U.S. Marine Corp Veteran during the Korean War and was a member of the Bascom United Methodist Church.
 Memorials may be made to Bascom United Methodist Church, Bridge Hospice or FACT.
