HAMELINK - Mr. Wilbur William Hamelink, age 94, of Grand Rapids, passed away October 21, 2009. He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther; their son, Gary Hamelink; and by his brother, Lawrence Hamelink. Wilbur is survived by his children, Bill Hamelink, Don (Nancy) Hamelink, George "Bob" (Shirley) Hamelink, Lawrence (Karen) Hamelink, Joyce (Dan) Molino, and Janice Mancuso; 13 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; his sister, Jane Hamelink-Breidenfield; and nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24 at 11 a.m. at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home - Van't Hof Chapel, 851 Leonard NW where friends may visit with his family on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. For those who wish, memorial contributions to the Fred and Lena Meijer Heart Center are appreciated. OBITUARY Esther Hamelink, aged 88, of Grand Rapids, passed away on January 22, 2008. She was preceded in death by her son Gary Hamelink. Esther is survived by her husband of over 70 years, Wilbur; children, Bill Hamelink, Don (Nancy) Hamelink, George “Bob” (Shirley) Hamelink,Lawrence (Karen) Hamelink, Joyce (Dan) Hamelink, and Janice Mancuso; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and brother, George Sietsema. Esther and Wilbur shared a love and were active in Polka dancing for over 70 years together. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home, 851 Leonard St. NW. Friends may feet the family on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment in Grandville Cemetery.         “Lawrence J. Hamelink, aged 81, of Ada, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Fern; his daughters, Judy (John) Boeze, Mary-Jo (David) Bacon; his son, Anthony (Linda) Hamelink; Step daughter, Janet Newberry; step-son, Eugene (Irene) Satterlee; Grandchildren Liz, Mike, Jessica and Stephanie Smith, Vico Michelle Hamelink; one sister, Jane Briedenfield; one brother Wilber (Esther) Hamelink; and several step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Larry was a veteran of WWII and a member of V.F.W. Post #3946. He was a carpenter, a member of Union Local #335 and a member of Grange #1596. Funeral Services including Committal will be held Wednesday 11 a.m. at the Zaagman Memorial Chapel-North, with Rev. Merle Bremer officiating.
