lists George Krul as Bessie’s husband. Living with them is her neice Dorothy Race, the daughter of the late Bernie Race. George is 42 and Bessie is 40. He was 23 and she was 21 when they were married about 1911. Dorothy is 19 and working as a clerk in a drug store. George is a taxi driver and Bessie works as a janitress in a public school. All three were born in Michigan as were both sets of parents for Bessie and Dorothy. George’s parents were born in the Netherlands. George owns his own home at 44 Andre Street. The family owns a radio and everyone can read and write. George is not a veteran.

WWI Kent County War Records, located at the Grand Rapids Public Library, state that William Albert Reese was born 17 March 1894 in Kent County, Michigan. His parents were Eva Barnum Reese and Andrew Reese. He worked at the Keeler Brass Company as a machine hand. He entered Camp Custer, Michigan on 30 March 1918. He was rejected for a physical disability on 15 April 1918. He was married to Minnie Crossman 2 October 1919. She was born in Hastings and was 28 years old.
On 2 Oct 1918 when William Albert was 24, he married Minnie Crossman, daughter of Isaac D. Crossman (Sep 1854-) & Anna (Sep 1859-), in Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan. Born in Dec 1889 in Hastings, Barry County, Michigan.
