    Judy D. Schirado, 61, Mandan, passed away Aug. 7, 2011, at her home. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, at Christ the King Catholic Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Kenneth Phillips officiating. Burial will be in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
    Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today, with a vigil/prayer service beginning at 7 p.m., at DaWise-Perry Funeral Service, Mandan. Visitation continues one hour prior to the service at the church.
    Judy was born Jan. 24, 1950, at Linton, to Matthew and Johanna (Reinbold) Vetter. She was raised and educated in Bismarck and graduated from Bismarck High School in 1968. On June 6, 1970, she married Dennis W. Schirado in St. Anne’s Catholic Church, Bismarck.
    She is survived by her husband, Dennis, Mandan; one daughter, Kathryn “Kat” (Chris) Freyman, Mandan; one son, Ray (Aimee) Schirado, Argusville; three sisters, Angie (Jeff) Renner, St. Anthony, Ad “Sam” Baker and Bruce Schumacher, Mandan, and Louella “Ellie” (Jerry) Orr, Wheatland, Wyo.; two brothers, Leo (Belinda) Vetter, Albers, Ill., and Tom (Jackie) Vetter, Bismarck; mother-in-law, Verda Stuhmiller, Bismarck; sisters-in-law, Cheryl Nelson, Mandan, and Deb Holcomb, Colorado; brother-in-law, Steve (Mary) Schirado, Utah; nine grandchildren, Charlie, Alex, Laura, Lily, Anna, Emma, Kason, Christian and Brannon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    Judy was preceded in death by her father, Matthew Vetter; brother, Tony Vetter; father-in-law, John Schirado; and sister-in-law, Mary Leben.

    Mary Leben, 44, Bismarck, died Aug. 7, 2006, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 11, at McCabe United Methodist Church (1030 N. Sixth St.), Bismarck, with the Rev. Art Scanson officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
    Visitation will be held from 1 to 9 p.m. today at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck, where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church.
    Mary was born May 27, 1962, in Bismarck, the daughter of John and Verda (Buelow) Schirado. She graduated from Bismarck High School in 1980. Mary married Kurt Leben April 3, 1981, in Bismarck, at McCabe United Methodist Church. Although Mary worked at occasional part-time jobs, she always considered raising her children and taking care of her family and mother to be her most important job. After her children were older, she worked for Mid-Dakota Clinic.
    Mary loved Mickey Mouse and collecting Mickey Mouse memorabilia and decorating her home with it was a big hobby of hers. She enjoyed painting, beading, jewelry making, scrap booking and almost any kind of craft. Mary loved and spoiled her pets, Haley, Tweeker and Capone. But her greatest joy was her children. Mary often told people, "My kids are my life."
    Mary is survived by two daughters, Jessie and Stephanie, and Stephanie's long-time boyfriend, Tony, and her son, Cole; her mother, Verda Stuhmiller, Bismarck; two sisters, Cheryl Nelson, Mandan, and Debra Holcomb, Loveland, Colo.; her brothers, Dennis and Judy Schirado, Mandan, and Steve and Mary Schirado, Napa, Idaho; her special friend, Tim Becker; and several nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her father, John; and her pets, Micky, Punky and Zack.
Mary Kaye married K. A. Leben (Private), son of Leonard Norman Leben (21 Feb 1935-2 Aug 1994) & S. A. (Private).
