      Hollis Schirado, known to everyone as Holly, age 80 of Glen Ullin died Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at the Marian Manor Health Care Center in Glen Ullin. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. CENTRAL TIME on Saturday, July 8, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Glen Ullin with the Rev. Loren Strum, Officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 3:30 until 8:30 PM at Spangelo Funeral Home in Glen Ullin and one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, rural Mandan; on Monday July 10th at 10 a.m. Central Time 
 Holly was born October 26, 1925 at Golden Valley, ND the daughter of Emanuel and Amelia (Seiler) Herman. She was raised and educated in the Beulah area. She met Harry Schirado in Beulah and was married on December 16, 1945 at Beulah. Holly worked for a while in the kitchen at the Glen Ullin School. She loved her garden and canning and enjoyed sharing the fruits of her labor with family and friends. 
 Holly will be greatly missed by her son, Harry Dean, Glen Ullin; her daughter, Renae Poitra, Dickinson, ND and one grandson Chad Doll, Limon, CO. She also leaves to mourn her two sisters: Opal Bates, Billings, MT, and Delilah Seise, Phoenix, AZ. 
 She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harry on Sept 20, 2005, four brothers: Emil, Elroy, Ozzie, and Forrest and three sisters: Violet, Fern, and Shirley.

Richard and Josephine were married in a double ceremony 29 August, 1944 with his brother Raymond.

 Richard Schirado, age 84, of Glen Ullin, died Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at the Marian Manor Health Care Center in Glen Ullin. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM Central time on Friday, June 29, 2007 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glen Ullin with the Rev. Sebastian Schmidt, as celebrant. Visitation will begin on Thursday, after 4:00 pm at the church with the Vigil services at 7:00 PM. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. 
 Richard was born July 30, 1922 on the family farm 14 miles northeast of Glen Ullin, the son of Anton and Katie (Rausch) Schirado. He was raised on the farm and educated at Union School. Richard married Josephine Filibeck August 29, 1944 at Sacred Heart in Glen Ullin. Following marriage they farmed for many years, some good some not so good. In 1978 they built a new home in Glen Ullin and moved into town in 1979 when Dick took over the farm. Richard operated a saw sharpening business and enjoyed woodworking and created many items. He was a board member for the Union School District for over 20 years and a charter member of the Glen Ullin Weighing Assn. 
 Grateful for having shared in his life are his wife, Josie, Glen Ullin; his children: Judy (Phil) Miller, Topeka, KS; Lila (James) Dixon, Colorado Springs, CO; SanDee (Howard) Wehri, Dick (Debbie) Schirado, all of Glen Ullin; Mischelle Schirado, Bismarck; Gaylen Schirado, Bonners Ferry, ID; and Carmen (Pat) Arthur of Vancouver, WA; 17 grandchildren and six and 7/9ths great grandchildren. 
He is also survived by his two brothers: Mike (Gerry) and Thomas (Kathy), all of Glen Ullin; three sisters: Pearl Voegele, Mandan, ND; Gen Karlin, Cool, CA; and Lena Sorenson, Yuma, AZ. 
 Richard was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Tony, Lester, and Harry; and two sisters; Katherine and Joan.
