John was in Roxbury 1635, brought his wife Rhoda, perhaps daughter Mary, and son John. Freeman in Roxbury 18 Apr 1637, ar. co. 1638.25

John sent a letter of attorney 23 Oct 1644 to Joseph Brown of Southampton, malster, to prove the will of his father and to execute it for him. He bought land at Salisbury, the deed of which was made to his widow, Rodah.

John, freeman 18 Apr 1637; mentioned as a land owner in 1643, having 188 acres; and a member of the artillery company in 1638. For many years John was town clerk and the records of Roxbury (now in the City Hall, Boston) are in the handwriting of himself and his son, John, who succeeded him.
Ca 1632 John married Rhoda. Born ca 1610. Rhoda died in Roxbury, MA on 22 Aug 1693.160

Rhoda first married John Gore, second John Remington as his second wife, third Edward Porter as his second wife, and fourth Joshua Tidd as his second wife.
