In his will 29 June, 1731, gives ‘to my wife Mary the use and improvement of 1/3 of my estate, both real and personal, during her natural life. To son Jabez the new dwelling-house on the side of the highway at South Hingham;’ mentions a black oak-tree ‘standing ont he boundary line between Ephraim's homestead and mine;’ bequeaths also ‘to sons Edward and Theophilus, and to daughters Mary Slaughter [Slader], Sarah Loring, Leah Wilder, and Kezia Wilder, each £100.’”33
