Elizabeth was named in her father’s will. No further record.14

Mary was named in her father’s will.

(Anderson14 says that the suggestion that Mary married her stepbrother, Joseph Bassett, is unsupported by any evidence, see NEHGR 115:85.)
5287. Thomas Lapham. Born ca 1643 in Scituate, MA.53 Thomas died in Scituate, MA on 16 Jul 1720.52

Thomas’ will was dated 21 Oct 1717.
Thomas married Mary. Mary died in Scituate, MA in Jun 1709.52

Mary is often said to be the daughter of William Brooks of Scituate, but there seems to be no evidence for that. Mary Brooks was unmarried at the time of William’s will, which, although undated, was probably written after Joseph Lapham’s birth in 1670. William Brooks died after 1680.

5288. Rebecca Lapham. Born ca 1645 in Scituate, MA. Rebecca was baptized in the Second Church of Scituate, on 15 Mar 1645.52 Rebecca died in Bridgewater, MA in 1717. Buried in First Cemetery, Bridgewater.

On 16 Apr 1679 Rebecca married John Washburn (19346) , son of John Washburn (ca 1620-12 Nov 1686) & Elizabeth Mitchell (6983) (ca 1628-bet 1681 and 1684), in Bridgewater, MA.252 Born ca 1646 in Duxbury, MA. John died in Bridgewater, MA in 1719.252 Buried in First Cemetery, Bridgewater.

20 Feb 1666/7 Lydia married Samuel Bates, son of Clement Bates (ca 1595-17 Sep 1671) & Anna, in Hingham, MA.14 Born ca 1639 in Hingham, MA. Samuel was baptized in Hingham, MA, on 24 Mar 1639.45 Samuel died in Wareham, MA between 20 Oct 1713 and 16 Dec 1713.

Samuel Bates, also spelled Bate, of Hingham, resided on South St.45

He purchased land in Agawam, part of Wareham, MA, and moved there. His will was dated 20 Oct 1713, proved 16 Dec 1713.
