    Simon Beaman removed to Deerfield in 1683, he became a garrison soldier, and Hannah the school dame; both were captured 1704, but came back from Canada; she bequeathed her lands for the benefit of the schools of Deerfield. the first instance of the kind in this part of the state; her will was made in 1723.
On 9 Oct 1680 Simon married Hannah Barnard, daughter of Francis Barnard (ca 1617-3 Feb 1698) & Hannah Merrill (-ca 1675), in Hadley, Hampshire County, Massachusetts.161 Born ca 1646 in Hadley, Hampshire County, Massachusetts. Hannah died in Deerfield, Franklin County, Massachusetts on 13 May 1739.161 Occupation: School teacher.

Hannah first married Dr. John Westcarr, second Simon Beamon.

field, 5 Sep 1694.161

(John Beamon did not marry Abigail Eggleston. The John Bement who married Abigail Eggleston 29 Oct 1696 at Enfield, CT, was born at Wrentham, MA, about 1667, son of John & Martha (Dennis), and he accompanied his father to Enfield in 1682.)
