On 2 Jan 1649 Anne first married Peter Tallman (2984) , son of Heinrigh Talemann (1252) (ca 1586-aft 1623) & Anna [Talemann], in Church Christ, Barbados.39 Born ca 1623 in Hamburg, Germany.220 Peter died in Portsmouth, RI on 1 Apr 1708. They were divorced in May 1665 in Portsmouth, RI.

It is commonly said that Peter was the son of Heinrich and Anna Taelman, but Peter may have been the son of Pieter Taelman and Pieter’s second wife Maria Von Peene. Heinrich and Pieter may have been brothers, both sons of Michiel Taelman and Anna de Licht of Antwerp and later Hamburg.

Peter came from Hamburg, Germany, of a burgher family which probably originated in Schleswig-Holstein. He was born about 1623, probably the son of Heinrigh and Anna Taelmon of Hamburg, and he was made a burgher of that city 14 Aug 1646. Soon after he emigrated to Barbados where he married 2 Jan 1649 in Christ Church Parish, Anne, daughter of Philip and Anne Hill of that parish.220

Peter is in the list of freemen at Newport 1655, and among the proprietors of Guilford 1685.25

Peter was general solicitor of RI in 1661.49

Anne second married Thomas Durfee, son of Job Durfee & Judith Borden. Born on 16 Oct 1643 in Exeter, Devon. Thomas died in Portsmouth, RI, on 14 Jul 1712; he was 68.

Will of Thomas Durfee of Portsmouth, dated 4 Feb 1709/10, proved 17 Jul 1712, mentions wife Deliverance Durfee; sons Robert Durfee eldest, Thomas Durfee, William Durfee, Richard Durfee deceased, and Benjamin Durfee youngest; two daughters Patience Tallman and Deliverance Durfee youngest; grandsons Richard Durfee eldest and Thomas Durfee, sons of son Richard Durfee deceased; and Ann Potter wife of William Potter–no relationship.248
