    In James’ will, which bears date Oct. 15, 1724, he gives, to wife Abigail his part of dwelling-house, and all his lands, and movable estate, and liberty to cart wood from his Scituate lot; to son Benjamin, 10 acres adjoining his house, &c.; to James and John, of Plympton, Joseph, of Rehoboth, Samuel and Soloman, of Hingham, and daughters Hannah King, of Plymouth, Judith White, and Rebecca Whiton, his Cedar lot in Abington, and that part of his Scituate lot not before given to Benjamin, to be equally divided between them. Appoints wife Abigail, and friend Jonathan Farrow, Executors.
Ca 1675/6 James married Abigail Rickard (25760) , daughter of Giles Rickard (10121) (-29 Jan 1709/10) & Hannah Dunham (ca 1634-1 Apr 1708). Born ca 1655 in Plymouth, MA. Abigail died in Hingham, MA on 4 May 1740.45

    Family tradition sajs, that Thomas owned a large tract of cedar, swamp in Abington, which he was accustomed to visit every winter, and from which trees of a very large size were cut, and split into clapboards for the Boston market; and that he came to his death near Cedar bridge, in Abington, Sep. 17, 1708, by the fall of a tree, a limb from which struck his head, and killed him instantly.
