From the Genealogy of the Descendants of Anthony Collamer,562 pages 82–83:
    John Collamore, yeoman, when he became of age, left the ancestral farm on Belle House Neck and established for himself a home on Gilman Plain, in West Scituate. He married Margaret, daughter of Enoch Whiton. Their dwelling on the northeast side of the Boston-Plymouth Stage Road, was also favorably known as a tavern for many years, and the house is at the present day (1915), in a good state of preservation. He inherited property from both his father and his mother. In 1747 he was appointed to administer the estate of his father (Peter Collamer), his brother (Anthony) having died in 1746. He was a member of the Second Parish Church in Scituate. In the year 1750 he was summoned to sit on the Grand Jury at Plymouth. In his will, dated April 15, 1755, he appointed Margaret (his wife) executrix of his estate. He gave to son Enoch “The farm where I now dwell, on the northerly side of road, being 30 acres, and part of farm on southerly side of road where barn stands, being 35 acres.” He also gave son Enoch and daughters Sarah, Mary and Betty, in equal shares, “all my land at Spring Brook and Black Pond Hill, in Scituate, being 26 acres. Also all my Land in the Easterly parts of this Province at a place called Muscongus and all the real estate which my Mother Abigail Collamer gave me in her Will.”
