Anthony Collamor was a yeoman and resided on the old homestead at Belle House Neck in Scituate, deeded to him by his father (Peter) Nov. 1, 1731. His wife, Susanna, was daughter of Tobias and Elizabeth (Doty) Oakman, and was great grand-daughter of Edward Doty, who came in the Mayflower. After the death of her husband, Susanna was made guardian of the minor children, as appears by the Probate Records.

On 4 May 1731 when Anthony was 31, he married Susannah Oakman (18611) , daughter of Tobias Oakman (6722) (ca 1664-16 Jun 1750) & Elizabeth Doty (10063) (22 Dec 1673-16 Dec 1745), in Marshfield, MA.52 Born Jan 1705/6 in Marshfield, MA.60 Susannah died aft Mar 1757.332

From the Genealogy of the Descendants of Anthony Collamer,562 pages 82–83:
John Collamore, yeoman, when he became of age, left the ancestral farm on Belle House Neck and established for himself a home on Gilman Plain, in West Scituate. He married Margaret, daughter of Enoch Whiton. Their dwelling on the northeast side of the Boston-Plymouth Stage Road, was also favorably known as a tavern for many years, and the house is at the present day (1915), in a good state of preservation. He inherited property from both his father and his mother. In 1747 he was appointed to administer the estate of his father (Peter Collamer), his brother (Anthony) having died in 1746. He was a member of the Second Parish Church in Scituate. In the year 1750 he was summoned to sit on the Grand Jury at Plymouth. In his will, dated April 15, 1755, he appointed Margaret (his wife) executrix of his estate. He gave to son Enoch “The farm where I now dwell, on the northerly side of road, being 30 acres, and part of farm on southerly side of road where barn stands, being 35 acres.” He also gave son Enoch and daughters Sarah, Mary and Betty, in equal shares, “all my land at Spring Brook and Black Pond Hill, in Scituate, being 26 acres. Also all my Land in the Easterly parts of this Province at a place called Muscongus and all the real estate which my Mother Abigail Collamer gave me in her Will.”

On 27 Apr 1732 when John was 27, he married Margaret Whiton (18387) , daughter of Sergt. Enoch Whiton (6633) (8 Mar 1659/60-5 May 1714) & Mary Lincoln (16803) (27 Dec 1662-2 Oct 1716), in the Second Church of Scituate.52 Born 28 Jan 1701/2 in Hingham, MA.45 Margaret died on 20 Mar 1793.562
