    “The first family [Randall] residence was inherited by Benjamin, son of Joseph. He was the father of Paul and Daniel, who removed to Harpswell, and of William and Ezra, who removed to Thpsham, Maine, also of Capt. Benjamin, who built the house in which Seth Turner deceased 1830, one fourth mile south west of the south Meeting house.”

    Anthony Collamor was a yeoman and resided on the old homestead at Belle House Neck in Scituate, deeded to him by his father (Peter) Nov. 1, 1731. His wife, Susanna, was daughter of Tobias and Elizabeth (Doty) Oakman, and was great grand-daughter of Edward Doty, who came in the Mayflower. After the death of her husband, Susanna was made guardian of the minor children, as appears by the Probate Records.

    Edward Oakman lived and brought up his large family on that part of the “Truant” land on which the “Oakman” house now [1901] stands. None of his sons remained in Marshfield, and none of the Oakmans now in Marshfield are descended from him.

On 26 Jul 1791 widow Sarah Oakman and Edward Oakman, gentleman, were appointed to administer the estate of Edward Oakman of Marshfield, yeoman. In the 22 Oct 1794 settlement, Amos Oakman was to get the estate and make payments to: John Oakman; Samuel Oakman; Elizabeth Oakman; Alice Oakman; Bethia Stevens, the wife of William Stevens; Sarah, the wife of Samuel Lathrop; and Abiah, the wife of Asa Rogers.
Ca 1736 Edward married Sarah Doggett (30620) , daughter of Samuel Doggett (36664) (7 Apr 1685-Sep 1745) & Bethiah Waterman (13334) (20 Aug 1687-28 Nov 1746). Born ca 1716 in Marshfield, MA.60 Sarah died in Marshfield, MA on 22 Jan 1794.332 Buried in Marshfield Hills Cemetery.343
