He ran a grist mill and a small saw mill on the west side of Pochasset River near the road and opposite Cranston Print Works. He resided in Providence, now Cranston, RI.145

    “Southward into the newly opened lands of Sippican went John Randall, third son of the Scituate immigrant. In this region coving the western and northern shors of Buzzard’s Bay on the underside of Cape Cod the Randalls were to live until 1768, the year in which Job Randall was to die. Sippican gradually was purchased form the Indians and divided by the buyers into homesteads. The homestead grew into isolated villages and these in turn merged to from the town of Rochester. At the present time [1943] “Rochester” is only an inland farm, while towns which succeeded it, such as Wareham, Marion and Mattapoisett, are thriving communities.”145
