Josiah first married Sarah Sherman, second Ursula Randall.

9 Mar 1697/8 Elizabeth married William Macomber, son of William Macomber (18 May 1645-ca 1711) & Mary, in Scituate, MA.52 Born on 24 Dec 1674 in Dartmouth, MA. William died in Dartmouth, MA ca 1767.

On 13 May 1709 when Joseph was 33, he married Elizabeth Turner (23222) , daughter of Nathan Turner (8753) (1 Mar 1654-15 Aug 1693) & Oseeth Wing (12 Sep 1652-13 Jun 1729), in Scituate, MA.52 Born Jan 1684/5 in Scituate, MA.52 Elizabeth died in Scituate, MA on 7 Aug 1712.52 Buried in Second Church Cemetery, Norwell.

On 22 May 1706 Hannah married Cornelius White, son of Daniel White (ca 1649-6 May 1724) & Hannah Hunt (-aft 25 May 1721), in the Second Church of Scituate.52 Born on 28 Mar 1682 in Marshfield, MA.60 Cornelius died in Marshfield, MA, on 21 Jan 1755; he was 72.460 Occupation: Shipbuilder.

    Cornelius, in 1743, bought the Hatch place, on what is now Centre st., formerly part of the “Hanmer Hook,” so called, which is still improved by his descendants, being occupied by Albert White, Esq. [in 1853].

On 20 Dec 1709 when Sarah was 29, she married William Barstow (9447) , son of William Barstow (3182) (Sep 1652-13 Aug 1711) & Martha (-13 Aug 1711), in the Second Church of Scituate.52 Born on 23 Nov 1684 in Scituate, MA.52 William was baptized in the Second Church of Scituate, on 5 Feb 1685.52 William died bef 1734.

William married Sarah in a double marriage with his brother Benjamin, who married Sarah’s sister Mercy. William’s estate was settled in 1734. His widow Sarah is named, and Hannah, wife of William Ford, a daughter Sarah, and an only son William.

On 14 Dec 1710 when Margaret was 26, she married Nathan Sprague (16291) , son of Sergt. Samuel Sprague (10582) (ca 1640-ca 1709) & Sarah Chillingsworth (6067) (ca 1642-1725), in Scituate, MA.52 Born ca 1679 in Marshfield, MA. Nathan died in Marshfield, MA in 1758.379

Nathan was of Swansea MA where his father owned land when he married Margaret.379

On 20 Dec 1709 when Mercy was 24, she married Benjamin Barstow (9449) , son of William Barstow (3182) (Sep 1652-13 Aug 1711) & Martha (-13 Aug 1711), in the Second Church of Scituate.52 Born on 22 Jul 1690 in Scituate, MA.52 Benjamin died in Pembroke, MA ca 1751.

Benjamin married Mercy Randall in a double marriage with his brother William, who married Mercy’s sister Sarah.

    “Mr. B. occupied his father's house, being that of his gr. fa. Wm., and seems to have followed their trade, being a shipwright, and having his yard near the N. River Bridge. (See the chap. on Shipbuilding.) Tradition says that he had 21 ch. in all. From a diligent search of the Town and Church Records, of Scit., Pemb., and Hanover, I [Barry] find the 19. The other 2 prob. d. young.”

On 17 May 1722 when Benjamin was 33, he married Sarah Oakman (18610) , daughter of Tobias Oakman (6722) (ca 1664-16 Jun 1750) & Elizabeth Doty (10063) (22 Dec 1673-16 Dec 1745), in Marshfield, MA.52 Born ca 1704 in Marshfield, MA.60 Sarah died in Scituate, MA on 12 Jun 1770.52 Buried in South Parish Cemetery, Norwell. Religion: member of the Second Church of Scituate, 1 Nov 1730.145

Sarah died in her 67th year.52
