7460. Eleazer Ring. Born ca 1655.31 Eleazer died in Kingston, RI on 21 Nov 1749.438

“Eleazer Ring and his wife Mary lived first at Plymouth, where their first nine children were recorded. He was appointed constable there for 1692. Numerous deeds over a period of many years list Eleazer in Plymouth, later in Plympton, and toward the end of his life in Kingston. On 9 September 1697 Eleazer Ring received by deed of gift from a ‘William Ring of the Town of Plymouth’ for ‘Natural affection and Good Will which I do bear unto my Loving Brother Eleazar Ring of the Town of Plymouth,’ two lots of upland in the Twenty Six Men's Purchase in Middleborough which had belonged to William’s ‘Honoured father Andrew Ring late of Plimouth.’ On 30 June 1703 ‘Eleazar Ring of the Town of Plymouth . . . Yeoman’ sold to Abiel Shurtleff, house carpenter of Plymouth, meadow land at ‘Pollipody Cove’ which was ‘Given to me by my Father andrew Ring deceased.’ On 20 June 1705 Mary Ring, together with Eleazer Ring her husband, and her brothers and sisters who were heirs to the property of Deacon Jonathan Shaw, conveyed land in Lakenham and their rights to his moveable estate to ‘our Brother Jonathan Shaw of Lakenham.’
“On 23 July 1707 Eleazer Ring and his wife were dismissed from the [First] Church of Plymouth to the church at Plympton. Following that date the deeds (and births of his children) record him as a resident of Plympton, though it is unclear whether he had also moved in 1705[62] or simply that the town boundaries had shifted around him with the incorporation of Plympton in 1707. In 1722 he made a gift of 100 acres of land in Middleborough to his son Andrew, and in 1725 he gave to his son Samuel ‘Part of my Farm whereon he now Dwelleth in Plimton.’ By 28 March 1732 he was described as ‘Eleazar Ring of Kingston . . . Yeoman,’ and on that date he gave to his ‘loving Son Elkanah of Kingston’ over 140 acres of land in the Sixteen Shilling Purchase in Middleborough that were in the original right of Andrew Ring. Eleazer and his wife Mary had probably lived in Kingston for several years; Mary had died there two years earlier on 28 November 1730.
“In his will, dated 5 June 1738 and proved 1 January 1749[/50] in Plymouth County, Eleazer Ring of Kingston, yeoman, made bequests to his sons, Samuel, Andrew, Elkanah, and Jonathan.”438
