ca 1676 Dorothy married Col. Joseph Smith, son of Robert Smith (ca 1611-12 Jun 1680) & Susanna [Smith] (-12 Jun 1680). Born ca 1653 in Hampton, Rockingham Co., NH. Joseph died on 15 Nov 1717 in Hampton, Rockingham Co., NH.38

Joseph was a justice of the Superior Court from 1694 to 1699, Chief Justice 1698, also Judge of Probate 1703 to 1708, provincial treasurer, selectman for six years, representative for several years. He first married Dorothy Cotton, second Mary Moore, and third widow Elizabeth Marshall. He lived on his father’s homestead and had no children.38

On 17 Aug 1686 when John was 28, he married Anne Lake, daughter of Capt. Thomas Lake (-14 Aug 1676) & Mary Goodyear, in Hampton, Rockingham Co., NH.141 Born on 12 Oct 1663 in Hampton, Rockingham Co., NH.141 Anne died in Brookline, MA, on 27 Nov 1736/7; she was 73.141

Anne, also called Hannah, Lake. She married first John Cotton, second Increase Mather.

Anna was jailed in 1685 for a “spurious birth”. In Jun 1688 she and William Johnson were fined by the York County Court for fornication.

On 8 Nov 1677 when Anna was 16, she first married George Carr (5721) , son of George Carr (2318) (-4 Apr 1682) & Elizabeth [Carr] (-6 May 1691), in Salisbury, MA.141 Born on 15 Apr 1644 in Salisbury, MA.141 George died aft 1697.
