ca 1698/9 Mary first married Capt. Joseph Barstow (5774) , son of Joseph Barstow (1606) (6 Jun 1639-17 Apr 1712) & Susanna Lincoln (6357) (16 Aug 1646-31 Jan 1730). Born on 22 Jan 1675 in Scituate, MA.121 At the age of 1, Joseph was baptized in the Second Church of Scituate, on 3 Oct 1676.121 Joseph died in Scituate or Hanover, MA, on 25 Jul 1728; he was 53.121,309 Buried in Church Hill Cem, Scituate.

      “The Inv. of his Est. speaks of 1/4 of a sloop; his farm of 70 acs.; the farm of 40 acs. on which Wm. Stetson lived, in Scit.; the farm of the wid. Amy Dwelly, of Scit., 24 acs.; 328 acs. called the Court Grant, between land of Dea. Stockbridge and Saml. Barstow; 32 acs. of cedar swamp, partly in said grant; 70 acs. joining the N. side of Elij. Cushing's farm; 45 acs. on the S. of sd. C's. farm; 6 acs. fresh meadow; 1/4 of the new forge; 5 1/3 acs. by Gershom Stetson's; 6 acs. adjoining Chas. Stockbridge's; 1 1/4 acs. on the N. side of the road to Benj. Perry's; 1/9 of a saw-mill; 184 acs. of land in Pemb., adjoining the new Forge; 14 acs. in Pemb., near the Major's Purchase; 1/4 grist mill at new Forge; 1/2 ac. by N. River bridge; and a negro woman named Rose. The whole was appraised at £6,926, -a large sum for those days. (Prob. Rec. Plym. 5, 846-8.) Mr. B. li ved on Broadway, built the Barstow Forge, and it is said, built the house now [1853] known as the Salmond House.”

Marriage intention published on 12 Apr 1735 at Scituate, MA.121

11503. Job Randall. Born on 4 Dec 1683 in Scituate, MA.121 Job was baptized in the Second Church of Scituate, on 22 Apr 1683.160 Job died in Scituate, MA, on 21 Feb 1723; he was 39.

Job’s Landing, nearly a mile below the brickkilns on North River, where packets called for freight and ships were built prior to 1800, is said to have been named after this Job Randall. It joined the shipyard and both were located on land formerly owned by Ephraim Randall of Pembroke, 1839.160

Job married Ursula Macomber, daughter of Thomas Macomber (28 Feb 1634/5-ca 1711) & Sarah Crocker (ca 1650-). Born on 26 Nov 1681 in Taunton, MA.160 Ursula died in Pembroke, MA, on 30 May 1776; she was 94.160 Religion: Ursula was admitted to communion of the Church 4 Jun 1721 the same time that her four eldest children were baptized.

11505. Capt. Nehemiah Randall. Born on 1 Jul 1688 in Scituate, MA.121 Nehemiah was baptized in Scituate, MA, on 29 Jul 1688.160 Nehemiah died in Scituate, MA, on 8 Dec 1745; he was 57.121 Buried in South Parish Cemetery, Norwell.

On 19 Dec 1709 when Nehemiah was 21, he first married Mercy Stockbridge (20129) , daughter of Charles Stockbridge (8033) (4 Feb 1663/4-7 Apr 1731) & Abigail Tilden (21214) (11 Jul 1666-ca 1710), in the Second Church of Scituate.121 Born on 11 Aug 1692 in Scituate, MA.121 Mercy died ca 1715 in Scituate, MA.160

Nehemiah and Mercy may have had a fourth child Ishmael.

Nehemiah and Ruth were of Pembroke when their children were baptized 1720-1721.

On 17 Mar 1707/8 when Lydia was 16, she first married Samuel Barstow (5777) , son of Joseph Barstow (1606) (6 Jun 1639-17 Apr 1712) & Susanna Lincoln (6357) (16 Aug 1646-31 Jan 1730), in Scituate, MA.87 “17 day of march 1707/8 Samuell Barstow & Lydia Randall were Joyned together in Marriage Joseph Otis Justice of peace”. Born on 1 Jan 1683/4 in Scituate, MA.121 Samuel died in Scituate, MA, on 23 Oct 1730; he was 47.

      “Mr. B. prob. lived near the centre meeting-house, in which vicinity, and in the westerly part of the town, he was the owner of a large body of land, and other property. His est. was appraised at £3,700, and was divided into 9 shares, 2 of wh. were left to his son Saml., 1 to Debo., 1 to Lydia, 1 to Job, 1 to Michael, 1 to Elizab., and 1 to Priscilla. Lett. of Adm. were granted to Lydia, relict, &c., 1731, and in 1741, she is called Lydia Tracy, Adm'x. on Est. Saml. B. &c., and rendered her final acc't. Mr. B. was Selectman, in 1729.”
