Patience’s surname is sometimes given as Weston, but without reference to marriage and no father mentioned. Her oldest son’s given name was Weston (actually Wesson, in the Dartmouth vital records), so perhaps her surname was that, but it could have been her mother’s maiden name or some other relative’s name.
