Solomon settled in Hingham; constable 1739; resided first at Hingham Center, then on South Pleasant St., and lastly on the estate which he purchased in 1740 of Peter Jacob the clothier on Main, corner of Cushing St., where one line of his descendants for three generations resided.45

    By his will Solomon gave to his wife the use of his family Bible and the service of his servant Nero to cut her firewood, willing Nero to his son Job; the widow was also to have a place in the family pew as long as she could require it; all the apples she wanted for her own use, etc.
