On 30 Jul 1707 when Samuel was 19, he first married Lydia Taylor, daughter of John Taylor (ca 1641-13 May 1704) & Thankful Woodward (-aft 1724).117 Born 18 Mar 1678/9 in Northampton, Hampshire County, Massachusetts. Lydia died 3 Feb 1721/2.

In 1725 Samuel second married Elizabeth Webb, daughter of Rev. Joseph Webb (10 May 1666-19 Sep 1732) & Elizabeth Nichols (2 Apr 1668-15 Feb 1717/8).117 Born 14 Feb 1696/7. Elizabeth died in 1765.
