22221. Nathaniel Richardson. Born on 27 Aug 1673 in Woburn, MA.124 Nathaniel died in Leicester, MA late 1728.279

Nathaniel Richardson resided in Woburn, his native town, till after 1710. After this date he removed to Rumney Marsh, now Chelsea, then a precinct in Boston. About 1718, he removed to Leicester, a new town, incorporated Feb. 15, 1713. About that time, and soon after, many other families removed thither from Woburn, Maiden, and other towns in Middlesex County, of which county Leicester was a part till 1731. Of Leicester he was town clerk and selectman in 1722, moderator of town meetings, and in various ways employed in town business. He was active in the settlement of the Rev. David Parsons, the first minister, in 1721. He was the first innholder in Leicester, in 1721 and 1722. He lived at the intersection of the “Great Post Road,” passing through the centre of Leicester, with the Rutland Road. The house he then occupied was consumed by fire, with all its contents, in January, 1767. He was one of thirty-seven persons to whom a deed of the easterly half of Leicester was executed by the committee of the proprietors, Jan. 11, 1724-5. Samuel Green was another. He died, intestate, not far from the close of 1728. Administration of his estate was ajiven to the widow Abigail and son Nathaniel, Feb. 20, 1729. The widow Abigail died 1759.

On 18 Sep 1694 when Nathaniel was 21, he married Abigail Reed (11622) , daughter of Israel Reed (3910) (ca 1642-29 Jun 1711) & Mary Kendall (3925) (20 Jan 1651-17 Jan 1722), in Woburn, MA.124 Born 2 Jan 1678/9.279 Abigail died in Leicester, MA on 3 Jul 1759.508

In 1698 James first married Rebecca Eaton (11725) , daughter of Joshua Eaton (10676) (4 Dec 1653-19 Nov 1717) & Rebecca Kendall (3928) (2 Mar 1657-16 Apr 1690), in Woburn, MA.124 Born on 13 Apr 1679 in Reading, MA.81 Rebecca died in Woburn, MA in 1699.124

After marriage Thomas and Elizabeth lived about five years in Maiden, or till 1717, when Capt. Samuel Green, already mentioned as her father, and several other Maiden people removed to Leicester, then a new town—incorporated Feb. 15, 1713—of which Capt. Green was one of the principal founders. That part of Leicester wliere Capt. Green and his relatives lived is called Greenville, in honor of him. It is in the south part of Leicester, about a mile north of South Leicester railroad depot. They erected there a sawmill and a grist-mill. Here was Thomas Richardson's home the remainder of his life. He lived near his father-in-law, near where the Baptist meeting-house now is, in what has since become the Baptist parsonage, which, with the meeting-house, stands on a lot of land given to the Baptist Society by Dr. Thomas Green, son of Capt. Samuel Green, who gathered the Baptist Society in 1736, and was its first minister. Thomas Richardson, in 1729, was assessed for three hundred acres of land in Leicester. I have found no record of his death.

Ca 1712 Thomas married Elizabeth Green (35023) , daughter of Capt. Samuel Green (16690) (5 (8) 1670 [5 Oct 1670]-2 Jan 1734/5) & Elizabeth Upham (ca 1668-ca 1761). Born on 4 Apr 1693 in Malden, MA.215 Elizabeth died aft 6 Mar 1735/6.

Hannah and John Vinton were also second cousins both being great-grandchildren of Thomas and Katherine Richardson.

On 10 Jun 1713 when Hannah was 24, she first married Ens. Timothy Baldwin (42000) , son of Timothy Baldwin (22159) (27 May 1661-) & Elizabeth Hill (28 Jul 1661-26 Jan 1703/4), in Charlestown, MA.279 Born on 20 Nov 1689 in Woburn, MA.327 Timothy died in Stoneham, MA, on 3 Dec 1750; he was 61.327

John first married Abigail Richardson; second Abigail (Converse) Sawyer, widow of John Converse; and third Hannah (Richardson) Baldwin, widow of Timothy Baldwin. John’s first and third wifes were second cousins to each other.

John Vinton was of Dudley, formerly of Stoneham, when he married Mrs. Hannah Baldwin, widow of Timothy Baldwin.327
