Thomas sold his Newton lands in 1720 and moved away. He was of Pomfret, Conn., in 1734 and during that year purchased lands in Ashford, Conn., moving to the latter town shortly after.287
On 5 Dec 1717 Thomas married Sarah Maddocks (43555) , daughter of John Maddocks (16 May 1663-1 Feb 1702/3) & Ruth Church (23820) (12 Jan 1669/70-10 Jan 1746), in Newton, MA.287 Born on 22 Dec 1696 in Watertown, MA.

From The William Ward Genealogy:287 “He was a deacon of the church and scrved two terms as selcctnan. A paper in his handwriting contains the following memoranda: ‘l was admitted a member into the church May 23, 1725, in the 22nd year of my age. I entered into the marringe state in my 28th year, and my wife in her 32nd year. She died in childbed October 10, 1732. I was again married September 24, 1734, in my 31st year and my wife in her 36th year. I was chosen Deacon of the church in May 1745, tho’ much unfit for it. Good God, give me grace to be faithful to Thee, to the Chureh, and to my own soul.’ He made his will January 1, 1772, being ‘desirous to set my houee in order.’”
On 6 Jan 1732 Ephraim first married Mary Stone, daughter of Ebenezer Stone (27 Feb 1662/3-4 Oct 1754) & Margaret Trowbridge (30 Apr 1666-4 May 1710).287 Born on 19 Apr 1700.287 Mary died in Newton, MA, on 30 Oct 1773; she was 73.212 Buried in Newton, MA GR1.
