Mercy married Benjamin Hatch Jr, while her sister Jerusha married Benjamin Hatch, no Jr. It’s not clear which Benjamin either is.
There were at least two Benjamin Hatches at the time.
a. Benjamin, the son of John & Grace (Stetson) Hatch born 28 Jun 1721
b. Benjamin, the son of Joseph & Mary Hatch born 23 Apr 1722
Based on these dates, the first Benjamin married Jerusha, and the second was Benjmin Jr. who married Mercy.
