(11319) , son of John Bryant (-20 Nov 1684) & Mary Hyland (3813) (ca 1631-aft 1702), in Scituate, MA.110 Born on 15 Jul 1675 in Scituate, MA.52 Thomas died in Scituate, MA, on 18 Dec 1748; he was 73.52 Buried in South Parish Cemetery, Norwell.

Occupation: shipwright, yoeman, farmer.

Joseph first married Mary Garrett, second Judith Litchfield, and third Sarah (Ewell) Morey, widow of Edmund Morey.

Joseph was known as Joseph Briggs, Jr., to distinguish him from his cousin Joseph, son of Lt. James. Joseph Jr. lived in the Walter Briggs homestead at Conihassett, which he purchased from his cousin, John Briggs, Jr., when the latter removed to Boston.42

7 Jan 1724/5 Penelope married Isaac Hatch (10111) , son of Samuel Hatch (11166) (22 Dec 1653-between 13 Jun 1728 and 7 Jul 1735) & Mary Doty (3396) (ca 1653-bef 13 Jun 1728), in the Second Church of Scituate.52 Born on 20 Dec 1687 in Scituate, MA.52 Isaac was baptized in the Second Church of Scituate, on 1 May 1687.52 Isaac died in Pembroke, MA, on 1 Nov 1759; he was 71.31 Buried in Old Hatch Cemetery Two Mile, Pembroke.

Isaac first married Lydia Clift, second Penelope Ewell.

Either one of the dates for Issac’s birth or baptism was recorded wrong, or there were two Isaacs.

The will of Isaac Hatch of Pembroke, dated 11 Dec 1756, proved 3 Dec 1759, names wife Penelope, sons Isaac, Seth, Josiah, and Samuel Hatch, father Samuel Hatch deceased, daughters Penelope Hatch, Lydia Hatch, Sary Hatch, and Mary Hatch wife of Israel Hatch Jr.332

John second married Elizabeth [Ewell]. Elizabeth died aft 12 Jul 1758.

Elizabeth was John’s wife at the time of his will, she may have been the mother of some or all of his children.
