Asa was killed by the British during Tryon’s Invasion of New Haven, being pierced with a bayonet, once through the head and twice through the body.6

On 1 Apr 1748 when Asa was 24, he first married Mary Tuttle, daughter of Joshua Tuttle (19 Dec 1676-) & Mary Bradley (13 Mar 1672-), in New Haven, CT.52 Born on 12 Feb 1711[/2] in New Haven, CT.52

(Huldah was her grandchild by Ebenezer Alling; Solomon Phipps was widower of her daughter Elizabeth Todd).6

On 22 Jan 1775 when Asa was 50, he second married Phebe Brown (34305) , daughter of John Brown (17487) (14 May 1706-ca 1758) & Phebe Munson (24215) (5 Feb 1709/10-aft 1785), in Second Congregational Society, New Haven.51 Born on 28 Sep 1735 in New Haven, CT.52 Phebe was baptized in First Congregational Society, New Haven, on 20 Dec 1735.51 Phebe died aft 1817.51

Gershom served in Capt. James Peck’s Militia Co. for the defense of Fort William Henry, 1757, French and Indian War.6

Gershom married Katherine Mix, daughter of George Mix (24 Mar 1702-) & Katherine Tuttle (25 Nov 1699-). Born on 22 Jan 1728/9 in New Haven, CT.52 Katherine died in Chesterfield, MA, on 26 Aug 1818; she was 89.6 Buried in West Chesterfield, MA.

Hannah married Capt. Ezra Tuttle (46495) , son of Nathaniel Tuttle (25 Feb 1675-1728) & Esther Doolittle (32315) (24 Jan 1683-1756). Born ca 1720.51 Ezra died on 11 Jun 1793 in North Haven, CT.51 Buried in Old Graveyard, North Haven.

Ezra was commissioned Ensign of the 12th Co., 3rd Regt., Oct 1759; Lieut. of the 12th Co., 2nd Regt., Oct 1769; and Capt. of the same May, 1770.6

On 16 May 1796 Enos second married Lydia Frost, daughter of Ebenezer Frost (15 Aug 1677-ca 1750) & Elizabeth Andrus, in Congregational Society, North Haven.51 Born on 28 Dec 1735 in New Haven, CT.52 Lydia died in North Haven, CT, on 4 Jun 1807; she was 71.51 Buried in Old Graveyard, North Haven.

Lydia first married Hezekiah Todd, second Enos Todd. They were second cousins once removed (with Christopher Todd and Grace Middlebrook as common ancestors).
