Job was ordained first Minister in Shrewsbury on 4 Dec 1723. He continued in the ministry of this church 37 years until his death.2

From The Genealogy of the Cushing Family, pages 45–46:2
    Job graduated at Harvard College in 1714. Ordained first Minister in Shrewsbury, Mass., 4 Dec, 1723, with a salary of £60 a year and £60 settlement for the first year, then a rise of 4 pounds a year, until it should amount to £80. He lived on house lot No. 22 “granted to the first minister,” which, with other grants subsequently made to him, contained some of the best land in the town. He continued in the ministry of this church 37 years, until his death in 1760.
