It’s not clear who Ebenezer’s father was. His mother Mary Monroe presented two of his children for baptism. The Monroe Book225 hypotheses that he was born in Bristol, RI, son of John and Elizabeth (Archer) Monroe, but justification for that conclusion is lacking.

Mary died a few days before Ebenezer.68
