His will, dated 5 July 1780, proved Sep 1782, mentions wife Esther; sons Daniel and Solomon; daughters Sarah Warner, Deborah, Hannah, Philonela, Martha, and Rachel; daughter-in-law Elizabeth Wooding; three grandchildren, Abner, Elizabeth and Damaris. Executors, Samuel Cooper, Jr., and son Daniei Wooding.6
On 20 Nov 1746 Samuel first married Sarah Gilbert (38238) , daughter of Daniel Gilbert (15 Nov 1697-1753) & Sarah Todd (18834) (2 Nov 1698-), in New Haven, CT.56 Born on 29 Jul 1727 in New Haven, CT.56
