Sometimes Lucy Allen is said to be the daughter of Heber & Sarah (Owen) Allen of Poultney, Vermont.
Heber and Sarah married 17 Mar 1768 at Salisbury, CT, and and had children Heber (b. 1769), Joospeh (b. 1771), Sarah, perhaps a Lucy, and Heman (b. 1779). But Lucy Allen, wife of Orange Smith, couldn’t have been of this family if she had a daughter born 1784.
