There were two contemporary Israel Cudworths in Scituate. The other was this Israel’s older cousin Capt. Israel Cudworth, husband of Martha Bailey. In some town records, this Israel was called Israel Junior to distinguish him from the other Israel. The elder Israel Cudworth died by 1741.
